- Tender banana stem: 500 gms
- Salt: 1 tsp
- Mustard oil: 2 tbsps
- Fenugreek seeds: a pinch
- Sodium bicarbonate: ¼ tsp
- Salt and sugar: to taste
- Warm water: 200 ml
- To garnish: mustard oil - 1-2 tbsps, ginger juice – 1 tbsp
