Bhut Jolikiare Rondha Gahori Manxo(Pork with King Chilli)


  • Pork meat: 600 gm
  • Sliced onions: 2 medium
  • Potatoes (quartered): 2 medium
  • Diced tomatoes: 2 medium
  • King chilli: 1
  • Fresh bamboo shoot cut into small cubes: 4 tbsp
  • Ginger paste: 1 tsp
  • Crushed garlic: 10 cloves
  • Fresh green chillies: 4-6
  • Salt: to taste
  • Water: 1 litre
  • For garnishing: slit green chillies and coriander


  1. - Make desired size pieces of the pork. - Clean and wash the pork with warm water and drain. - Roast the green chillies and coarsely grind it with the king chilli. - In a karahi put the pork pieces and add the water. - Cook upon high heat and bring to boil. - Add the onion, garlic and ginger. - Boil covered for 10 minutes. - Add tomatoes, bamboo shoot and the potato pieces. - Can add more water if needed. Stir occasionally. - When half done add the grinded chilli with a spoon. - When cooked garnish with green chillies and coriander. - Enjoy with steamed rice and a chutney.
